Solid State Quantum Processors

Solid State Quantum Processor setup in the Lab

Exploiting the complexity of quantum systems, it is possible to achieve computing power far superior to what is achievable with existing technologies.

The aim of this research area is to develop high-fidelity quantum bits based on scalable semiconductor and superconductor technologies; and to establish prototypes to demonstrate proof-of-principle operation of universal quantum computers as well as analogue quantum simulators to address real problems.
